EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Welcome to the World Wide Web site for the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in Arlington County, Virginia.

Richard E. Trodden

Arlington County Commonwealth's Attorney

The Commonwealth's Attorney is a constitutional officer elected to a four-year term.  He appoints deputies and assistants under his supervision to prosecute felony, misdemeanor, and traffic cases.

This Office is responsible for prosecuting not only crimes committed in Arlington County by also felonies committed in the City of Falls Church and all felonies and misdemeanors committed at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Our thirty-four member team of attorneys, victim/witness specialists, legal assistants, and support staff members is dedicated to making our community a safer place to live, work, and visit.  In cooperation with several different law enforcement agencies, we work hard to protect victims and to seek just sanctions for those who choose to violate our laws.

The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is located on the fifth floor of the Arlington County Courthouse.  The Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
