DIRECTIONS TO THE COURTHOUSE
FROM ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Follow Route 50 West (John Hanson Highway) approximately 23
miles to where it becomes New York Avenue NE just inside the Capital Beltway.
Stay on Route 50 into the District of Columbia until you see signs for I-395
South just beyond North Capitol Street. Turn left into the tunnel entrance
for I-395 South and follow signs for Richmond. After crossing the river,
take exit #8 (Washington Boulevard / Route 27). Exit onto Route 50 and
proceed approximate 0.7 mile. The exit for Courthouse Road (also marked
"Police Department") is on the left. The courthouse is two blocks up the
hill on the right between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM BALTIMORE, NEW YORK, AND PHILADELPHIA
Take I-95 out of Baltimore, then follow the
Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD 295) to Route 50 East (New York Avenue NE).
Stay on New York Avenue until you see signs for I-395 South just beyond North
Capitol Street. Turn left into the tunnel entrance for I-395 South and
follow signs for Richmond. After crossing the river, take exit #8
(Washington Boulevard / Route 27). Exit on Route 50 East and proceed
approximately 0.7 mile. The exit for Courthouse Road (also marked "Police
Department") is on the left. The courthouse is two blocks up the hill on
the right between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM FREDERICK MARYLAND
Take I-270 South to I-495 (take the outer loop towards
Northern Virginia). Continue on I-495 across the Potomac River, taking
exit #8 (Arlington Boulevard, Route 50 East) towards Arlington. Courthouse
Road (also marked "Police Dept.") is approximately 9 miles. The exit is on
the left. Proceed up the hill. The courthouse is on the right
between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL
AIRPORT
Exit the the airport onto George Washington Parkway North
(towards Washington and I-395). Stay in the center lane approximately 1
mile and exit to the left onto I-395 South (towards Richmond). Take exit
#8 (Washington Boulevard / Route 27). Exit onto Route 50 East and proceed
approximately 0.7 mile. The exit for Courthouse Road (also marked "Police
Dept.") is on the left. The courthouse is 2 blocks up the hill on the
right between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM DULLES AIRPORT
Take the Dulles Access Road East towards Washington for
approximately 10 miles until it merges with I-66 East. Take the exit #72
(Spout Run Parkway / Route 29). Turn right onto Lee Highway (Route 29).
At the 6th traffic light, turn right onto North Veitch Street. Proceed
through the next 2 traffic lights (N. Veitch will veer left merging into N. 15th
Street). Take a right at the light onto Courthouse Road. The
courthouse is on the left, between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM FAIRFAX, MANASSAS & OTHER POINTS WEST
Follow I-66 East. Take exit #72 (Spout Run Parkway /
Route 29). Turn right on to Lee Highway (Route 29). At the 6th
traffic light, turn right onto N. Veitch Street. Proceed through the next
two traffic lights (N. Veitch will veer left merging with N. 15th Street).
Take a right at the light onto Courthouse Road. The courthouse is on the
left, between 14th and 15th Streets.
FROM RICHMOND AND POINTS SOUTH
Take I-95 North. At the juncture with the Capital
Beltway (I-95), get into the left lane and follow signs for I-395 North.
Take exit #8A (marked Washington Blvd. / Route 27 / Fort Myer). Go
approximately 1 mile. Take Route 50 East and proceed approximately 0.7
mile. The exit for Courthouse Road (also marked "Police Dept.") is on the
left. The courthouse is 2 blocks up the hill on the right between 14th and
15th Streets.
FROM WASHINGTON, DC
Take Constitution Avenue NW. Cross the Theodore
Roosevelt Memorial Bridge and take the first exit, following signs for Route 50
West. Exit onto Courthouse Road (this will be the 4th exit after crossing
the river). The courthouse is 2 blocks up the hill on the right between
14th and 15th Streets.
FROM I-495, THE WOODROW WILSON BRIDGE, THE VETERAN'S MEMORIAL
BRIDGE:
Follow I-495 into Virginia. Take exit #8 (Arlington
Blvd., Route 50) east towards Arlington. The exit for Courthouse Road
(also marked "Police Dept.") is approximately 9 miles on the left. The
courthouse is 2 blocks up the hill on the right between 14th and 15th Streets.
